I had a tenant that claimed they were fine with showing the house but they went and put in an illegal alarm and then refused to let any agents in...we started eviction process immediately...my first...the seller's agent offered them $3000 to move but  they wanted to stay for free till their lease was up and then collect the $3000 !

We had these fire door closing hinges and while a determined thief could figure out how to get them off to me it wasn't readily apparent.Also before changing check that making it inswing doesn't create an issue like swinging into the stove.

that said... the crime stats are alarming in greater vegas, the economy seems very flimsy, 50% of casino economy dependent on international tourists, and the competition seems to be fierce for "sub-prime" renters.I think there are still a lot of smaller Tier 3 type markets all over the west (including in Nevada) better than vegas.... but vegas does have the allure.. like a casino enticing you into a game it knows you cannot win over the long term:)
