No sprinklers, high maintenance lawn that unless you higher lawn care company to maintain it will turn to **** real quick, quirky vents and a roof thats on its last leg scream of constant maintenance calls.

Great advice @Engelo Rumora My deals just originate from being part of the community...in 2018 I've bought properties from fellow REIA members who were downsizing, a bunch from investors who ran screaming from Toledo when the lead paint ordinance was in full-swing, had several just drop in my lap because everyone I shake hands with knows I buy their headache properties.Last time I checked my spreadsheet I was tracking 22 deals in the Toledo market that I was in process of considering...there's always opportunity, its just a matter of chasing down the deals, sorting the chaff from the wheat, and then making something edible at the end!

Look carefully and pick the place where you want to live.After you settle on a town, then you go out bargain hunting.I never pay full retail price, but if a house has everything I want for my own residence, it doesn't have to be as huge a bargain as it does when I am buying investments.I consider my residence to be an investment, and it will have to make money for me, but I also want to be comfortable while I live there.Around here, the really screaming deals have some sort of issue that makes them less desirable residences.

that I can agree with you on, I've went to showings where the whole house was trashed and the tenants were screaming that no one told them there was a showingthat was a definite passkeep looking though, there are definitely some good ones out there
