Michael D'Aries That's great advice, and if you don't know how to do the handyman stuff, Home Depot has weekend workshops where you can begin to learn.

Another option is to rent the garage seperately from the house for storage or a work shop.

I did come across Lifestyles Unlimited and am in the process of completing their 7 day workshop that they offer.

I've been budgeting, looking into lenders, getting familiar with terms, watching YouTube and BP videos nonstop, attending workshops, my next move I thought to do was join BP!!..

At the same time, I attended a workshop the other day given by a Wells Fargo rep and the group discussion at one point turned to pre-approvals and making sure the bank had pulled credit reports, etc.
