This is a great place to learn and further investigate investing in real estate.

After reading and re-reading.... it appears that the bit from Pub 523 that I screenshotted is in reference to multi-use type properties only.  

They actually came out and cut samples from the carpet and had an investigator interview us (we were not even in the country when this took place).  

Settling with you is often much cheaper than dealing with an investigation from the state, so they usually prefer to make the problem disappear. 

I moved this post into that forum, for example.You can see plenty of thorough discussions there and it is just ramping up.We also plan to do more investigative style journalism, come this summer with PassivePockets.

I am a new investor and still investigating the locations. 

I have been looking for SFH and Duplexes as well and found a "potential" cash flowing duplex in 32209 and began investigating forum discussions on this city.     

Ideally I want a triplex / 3 flat, but I would like to learn, network and investigate more. 

This is our “background investigation” and it’s worked perfectly for us so far.

Their investigation group will do a good job in ferreting out any impropriety(ies) and New Western's E & O insurance will pay damages if their insured (NW) is in the wrong.Notwithstanding, to do business with them as a buyer, you have to agree to and sign their disclosures.
