Typically, in order to obtain such a license, you must work X number of years under an already licensed Contractor, and/or serve an actual multi-year "Apprenticeship".

@Joe Villeneuve Absolutely, but they offer apprenticeship programs that allow you to earn a solid income while completing all of your accreditation and a path to much higher income without going into debt.It's not the express lane to overnight success and it is hard work.
