If real estate agents act a little more like a financial planner and show homeowners what they know and approach the transaction not from a standpoint of making money primarily, but offering help to hurting people, they can hook homeowners up with investors who can buy through short sales or whatever.

There was a contractor that used to live next door to my friend that inspired the remodel - new kitchen and added horizontal square footage.Plans from the architect were drafted, turned into the city planner's for review, Comments were made, Architect corrected and then neglected - architect let them sit in his office for 5 months, finally turned back in and then the planning department moved and lost the plans.

It may be wise to contact a financial planner as well especially if your estate will trigger the estate tax - Federal or state.The Federal Estate tax was repealed during the Bush year BUT that repeal is repealed (I believe in 2011).
