You are absolutely accurate that we are headed in the direction of no one really "owning cars" but treating them like pods that drive around all day autonomously. 

I've been reading a ton, listening to pod casts, watching videos. 

From all the books, pod casts, and people I have contacted that was great advice for my situation.

I wouldn't necessarily go right to a loan mod, though.

The Bank's appraisal for the loan mod came back at 910k which I feel is at least 200k too low but whatever.
