In search of mentor in the Washington area

Hello,

I'm new to investing and I have zero deals under my belt, I have never even bought a home before. I'm currently in the military serving forward deployed in Japan. My contract with the military ends in April2021. I have friends who are real estate investors, one who currently lives in Washington. He suggested I house hack a 4 plex utilizing a first time home buyers loan then use my VA loan second. From all the books, pod casts, and people I have contacted that was great advice for my situation. I am just looking for other mentors in the area I will be moving to so I can gain as much knowledge and wisdom as possible. My goal would be to move to commercial real estate one day so that I can spend more time with my family and pay for my future children's college. Again, I have no idea what I'm doing, I have researched so many strategies even to include syndicating apartment deals. I am smart but I'm new to this so having someone help me along the way would be awesome. Thanks in advance!
