Also I have noticed that if the loan servicing is outsourced by the lender/bank that most of the short sales dealing with deceased borrowers has gone to Fay Servicing out of Chicago.

And as a follow up thought to that,  if i started marketing for my own deals, i may as well get a license (VA,DC,MD - i live right on the boarder of all of them) to have MLS access, and be able to list the properties after the rehab (saving another 10-15k in agent fees).Saving all that money sounds great and all but from a practical point, is that doing too much (marketing for deals, managing rehab, and playing selling agent) and taking away from the focus of just rehabbing and outsourcing everything else?

There are some agencies in my city that could provide some amount of pre-work training, but the GC might need to help train on specific tasks.My questions are these:- What is a "typical" % of total work done (in terms of cost) by a GC on a single-family home, and how much is outsourced to specialists?
