Laughably, in all cases you would have been better off borrowing money to buy CDs in 1987 (although, admittedly, mortgage financing entails some special rates that do make real estate more attractive).

Being a landlord entails the following:*Taking a fixer upper and jumping through 100 loops of the building codes and city ordinances before you can rent it out.

Commercial tenants are much better but you have to have big bucks to get into it with the down payment so many investors buy the single family houses.Some people are not meant to rent to residential tenants and all it entails.

Well, sometime I have to get out in uncharted waters and explore and see what does it entail to get through this.  

I look forward to being financially free so that I may truly enjoy what this world entails.

Jumping into the deep end and trying to flip without a clue as to what it entails, (or anything else about the area etc) is a sure recipe for disaster.
