Guess my question is....so you supply a completely empty unit that was professionally cleaned...and the owner gets bed bugs.....which are typically associated with..... beds, clothing, etc etc......so who is ultimately responsible?

This pre-tax 401(k) money will either be hit with a 40% loss now, or it will be hit by (what I assume will be) an even bigger loss in the future as taxes to rise to feed, clothe, house, and bomb the rest of the world.I also don't believe it is fair to say I am missing out on market gains.

I would buy the houses, than change my clothes and get dirty with this guys to learn what it takes to fix a houses. this went on for 2 or 3 years. than I was able to just keep them on daily wages and have a good idea of what is going on.

Wall paper over plaster, especially the old cloth/mat-backed wallpaper, allows the plaster to come off the lath in larger pieces/sections, cutting down on the dust (but, only a little).

We bought a house last June and hired a GC to do about $60k worth of work - the main thing being to replace all the cloth wiring in the house, as well as upgrade us to 220 and install new panels.
