Kitchen Rehab, Replacing Single Pane wood frame windows with new Vinyl Windows, Vinyl plank flooring throughout main level, Refinished original hardwood floors throughout second level, Stainless Steel Appliances, Re-glazing Tile and Tub in bathroom and re-decking front and back porches.

I know some fixes will need to be done; new carpet & paint, new countertops, new oven/range, refinish cabinets etc.

I've refinished the kitchen and bathroom for GREAT deals so far.

Ever since I was young my father taught me how to refinish floors.

I have been told several investors (possibly including the brokers that were representing me) purchased the duplex, did significant work on one unit (removed wall separating kitchen from living room, upgraded all kitchen appliances, cabinets, fixtures, and countertops, painted, refinished bathroom with new tile, fixtures, and new flooring).

We are using vinyl plank systems, refinishing existing hardwood floors, and or tile throughout.

Before we rented it for the first time last year we had the HW floors refinished, new paint job, kitchen and master bath remodel and new carpet in master bedroom. 

@Peter Morrissey those fins are pretty rough, but I imagine salvageable with some time and effort (I have never had to straighten them, so I don't speak from experience).That baseboard cover however should be able to be refinished.
