Understanding that Florida is a tourist destination, and also a retirement destination for most of the United States and Canada, when the crash hit, it hit Florida much harder than other states. 

We mostly go to Destin and Orange Beach.

I have a really cool situation where I'm acquiring a SFR in a major tourist destination town.

We have surpassed Miami as the #1 destination in Florida.

It is a beautiful vacation destination during the summer when school is out and has a growing population.My original idea was to start wholesaling in order to generate cash to purchase buy and hold property.

This seems counter-intuitive for vacation destinations but local neighbors and hotels are putting the pressure on to eliminate them.

Airbnb "owns" several regional host Facebook groups (ex:  Pensacola/Destin area; Panama City area), which you can join if you have an Airbnb listing link to provide (you might be able to just explain that you manage Airbnbs and see if they will let you in when you request to join - not sure).
