Yours has multiple different brick colors, peeling paint, older looking windows, dead plants, a half dead lawn, a walkway that is broken and slightly uneven, and an entry pad that is sloping rather significantly.

I watched a tile install happen while the construction crew was trying to walk through the tile area to get to the backyard patio cover work, and the carpet was already in, yet the painters were masking off the carpet!

There are some homes I look at and think this would be a good update candidate, but most just look like such poorly constructed/quality I can't see the point in trying to put a mask on it.

It seems that when one tenant is given "careful" responsibility, they kinda keep everything in line.HH cannot buy the properties that do not meet their FHA guidelines, (peeling paint, needs new roof, utilities cannot be turned on, etc.) so that's what investors have been looking at.

Now, where renting might make more sense would be some old crusty investor guy, single, one foot in the grave, the other on a banana peel, liquidated holdings to cash for the estate, rents to avoid final issues or transition to the nursing home and who still play in RE flipping with others or having rentals under management.
