It is especially great to connect with people who are operating businesses further along than yours is to help establish goals and even road maps.

After attending my local REI so I can better gain knowledge on which way to draw my road map for successful RE investment, I stumbled across the dirty little secret known as BP, thankfully. 

Don,Probably one of the very best suggestions is what my father always told me - get everything in writing.The idea is to have a very detailed written partnership agreement that is in effect the road map for all things to come and who is responsible for what.Be sure to have a life insurance policy on each partnerShould a partner die or becomes incapacitated, all control goes to the surviving partners and not the heirs.

Truth be told, I think we could all but hand-out road map's on it and still people wouldn't get it, telling us "oh, but the whole real estate market is about to collapse any-day-now, oh yeah, big discount's coming, 30, 40, 50%+ off".... uh-huh, yup, sure it is, ok, you have fun with waiting for that. 

@Jesse Bryant I'd recommend  you obtain a copy of the MN landlord tenant laws. this is going to be your road map for your rentals.  

I can share with you tips and a solid roadmap on how to get there, but you're the one that has to do the hard work to make it happen.Tons of people come on here and talk how they are so hardworking and most quit without even doing a full campaign because they had unrealistic expectations on how the process works and most never even learn how to effectively talk to sellers.

People can certainly be successful with BIFLI decisions but for the rest of us a road map is the best way to get to a place that you have never been to before.

I do not intent to jump to where I feel I should be on rents, just woringon a roadmap.
