@Jay HinrichsI’m currently in the design phase of a cottage court development that will consist of 6 semi oceanfront homes on the Outer Banks in Nags Head NC and we are planning on putting them at each home.

I bought a small portfolio in November and the roof on one of the properties (a triplex) is swiss cheese and the 2nd floor unit is down to the studs due to a roach infestation (the seller did the demo after having it fumigated).

The property has a house that I would be living in and I would be a first-time home buyer, but it also has a cute little cottage that I would Airbnb.

We are exchanging into a multi family property that has a main house with a small cottage in the back. 

I used a fannie mae homestyle loan and renovated the cottage into my home office space for now.

Note that while the green area looks homogeneous, it is more like Swiss cheese.

Just yesterday I saw a gorgeous $1.1m lakefront home for sale in my market (extremely expensive market) that had two airbnb cottages in addition to the main home.

If you can't split it, see if you can build a cottage house or a separate building on the lot. 

When I ran a flight kitchen overseas, we had crusts, cheese, sauce, toppings, etc and employees to get the pizzas done but we were also focused on getting a large variety of foods out, not just pizza, but I digress.What I’m trying to understand is the mathematical language.
