@Rebecca Cirisan Yes of course the city has dropped the ball on this, but their fumble can create an opportunity for creative investors to make a fumble recovery and run it all the way to the in zone!

(I guess that debt has to be paid off by someone) I would love to fix up some of the abandoned communities and convert many to gated communities I just have to do more research and analysis on the economy/recovery.

Even if the market tanks, which I don't profess to have the expertise to predict, I think you should be fine so long as the rental income you collect can help you weather the storm through the recovery period.
