I used to install home theater systems when I was in college as a side job while I worked at Circuit City.

So I recently purchased a multifamily home in a great location, near bus lines, freeway on ramp, shopping center 2 mins away with gym, restaurants, gas station, grocery store etc.  5 mins to walmart, theaters, medical clinic, higher end restaurants etc.  

There were talks of Playa Vista building up but it was more about The Runway (Playa Vista Downtown plans) with the retail stores and movie theater.

It has it's good points, like one of the best regional theaters in the country (The Human Race at the Loft/Victoria Theater).

We have 300K spec homes a block away from a tax credit apartment complex in an upscaled neighborhood with over the top amenities, old fashioned light posts, shopping center and theater.

And Bill, thank you for the good wishes - our houses are somewhat near the theater, and we frequent the Home Depot directly across from the theater.

Started, or rather continued in the home theater installs industry and quickly grew into the whole low voltage aspect of it all.

Reminds me of a theater project in Branson, Mo. and a mobile home along the strip was holding out, offer of $1M, they had held out for more than 10 years, when the big boys came in, it got political they ended up with less than half.

She texted me the night before she was listing one on the MLS, and I put it under contract that Friday night in the movie theater (please don't hate me-- it was still the previews)  My wife was not impressed :)  Deal 8- Neworking/MLS.
