Updated over 10 years ago,
Hi everyone!
my name is Eric. Been dabbing the idea of getting into the real estate business for some time now. Thought about all these mentors and gurus that want large amounts of money up front with no real guarantees. I'm in it to win it. After lots of time researching all this, I've certainly come to the conclusion that this is definitely not a get rich quick thing. If I can be honest for a second, I'm rather tired and fed up with it all. I'm a born a raised New Yorker that moved to Sugar land, Tx almost 9 years ago now. Started, or rather continued in the home theater installs industry and quickly grew into the whole low voltage aspect of it all. Basically coming in at the construction time frame all the way through to final install for the homeowners. Eventually ventured off on my own and started my own home theater sales and installs company here in the Houston area. While it has been a joy doing this, more and more real estate has become more of a, dare I say, passion. I see homes built from the ground up and always think of ways I would change things or enhance them as we go along. Thanks to the custom home builder I work for, I sometimes get to put in my own input towards projects. I've picked up a few of my own tricks along the way. It is so much fun doing what I do, but more and more I just want to do more of the real estate side of it all. Fix and flip, rentals, etc...
Like most though I guess, my biggest fear is failure. There's nothing to fear but fear itself but when going at this alone, so much more is on the line. I guess I'm looking for guidance mainly. Someone who's got the time to show me the ropes. I've got so many connections to all aspects in the construction business and so many ideas in my head that I feel it's time for me to release them out to the world. Maybe I'm overthinking this but hey, it's always the enthusiasm that motivates people...right. Gets them going. I know it gets me going when I have a cool audio video project on deck. It's one of the reasons I opened my own business, people wanted and needed better options, options that I provided them and they appreciate me more for it.
Let me stop rambling. Let's see where this goes from here on out!
