If the tenant has a complaint -- even for tenant caused damage -- the housing office will withhold rent. 

I am only bringing this up to help show you the real costs associated with holding on to a property that may end up losing money. 

I'm not seeing property management, maintenance, property tax, cap-ex withholdings, accounting for vacancy, etc

The question I wanted to ask is what are the fees associated with holding your license on an annual basis in IL and in MI?

I have not researched tax treaties, additional withholding requirements, physically been to this area and property, and not researched how to transfer my money into the states.

My family is experienced with flips however, no experience with holds.  

Withholding changes in your application affecting your material data  is also not good and would be considered mortgage fraud.
