That means that they know that the possibility exists that they will lose some or all of their money; it goes with the territory.

Everyone knows I focus there, my buyer list is focused there and I know that territory very well. 

Groups mark their territory by leaving a brick in the middle of the floor so that other groups know the piping has been removed".YIKES!

Consider me strange but I am one of the rare few that I truly love my day job with a large insurance company as a territory claims adjuster.

I guess the main thing would be to find someone who's an expert in the market in terms knowing  what developments/ long term projects the city has planned whether it be in my area or another market(open to different territories) and of course the other 3 professionals you mentioned.

I am currently an industrial sales representative and cover the South East as my territory.
