I tried one time a few years ago seeing if I could initiate some kind of ACH transfer, but the banks I talked to laughed and said they would not give this access to a small vendor, like plenty of big companies have.

The tenant claimed allergy problems, but frankly it's like saying I should pay for all tenants' allergy medicine if there is a bunch of flowers next door to the building.

I think they all are going take a couple days to deposit the money in your account because it ACH checking and I don't think they have any control over that.

The only time I took a bank account number was when I setup auto draft for rent, and they did it by filling out an ACH form.

@Matthew Crawford If you only want to collect payment, use QBO they have a free ACH for landlords.
