First off i'm from the UK but have been looking at investing in property for the last few years.

I will be moving towards UK, London.I have never been a big spender, I saved a bit of money for myself.

I will be sharing few under the radar topics that are very important as we go, and to start with:- future developments (5-10+ years ahead) in the areas we want to invest and when it's too late to jump in- migration / immigration profiles and type of people moving

I'm doing the same as you in the western suburbs of Detroit, although i'm mainly based in the UK most of the year.

There is room for argument if Germany, with the current immigration / social structure, coupled with the left leaning policies of some Länder (Berlin as a example) which are very tenant friendly, is a place which can be a short to medium term play.Covid19 will also have a effect, less on low to medium range but certainly on higher end Residential; on commercial (which, by the way, is not a bad idea for a beginner!

I moved to the UK in 1994 when I was hired by Swiss Bank Corp, London.

I currently live in the UK and am expecting to move to the Washington DC area in the middle/end of 2019. 

I forgot to mention I am an immigrant and came to the USA 5 years ago. so, I don't have too much information about other states.
