I have to assume you ran your loan through escrow and you got title insurance.. and as such you got to view the preliminary title prior to your loan funding.. and you gave escrow instructions that title company could record your lien if and when they could insure you in SEcond position.what transpired after your loan has nothing to do with you or your loan.. sounds like the owner is a fibber...

To this day I do not know anything about what transpired, however, I just looked it up and see that plot of land in Riverside is still vacant and still for sale, whereas the one I chose to invest in near Bozeman, MT is on track for payoff this summer.
