My biggest issues are the lack of flexibility an investment in RE can cause and the time it will take to build up a portfolio to fund traveling, therefore prolonging the time when I can start to travel.

A quick demo at each move-in on periodic surface maintenance could prolong the life of your investment.

@Chris Clothier @Mark Ferguson I have little doubt these prolonged low interest rates have created bubbles in some lower tier RE markets.

Doing this will prolong the life of the hvac equipment.
