It seems like in today's real estate market with limited supply, it is extremely difficult to appraise or accurately value a home (especially in New England/ Great Boston area where I'm from).

Welcome aboard One thing for sure if you haven't done it there is a section on the website that allows you to select professional people from your area those would probably include insurance people but even if they don't consider reaching out to people like realtors or other investors that are in your area and ask them for recommendations assuming you haven't already.I myself live in New England pretty much every single house is ancient or at least every other one.

i couldn't find any agents on BP close to the town, and we live in northern New England so its not exactly a day trip to go see it, although we can fly standby on any airline (a benefit we plan to use to our full advantage in this new venture). so this would be a long-distance investment... i guess i should call some local lenders, property managers and agents to see what they think?
