thanks everyone for reply’s, I know the Canadian rental rules aren’t familiar with everyone and this is a new province I just bought in so I am not that familiar I’m just seeing if I could sit down with this guy and maybe offer him some cash to leave ?

Our condo is in Quebec a weird province with civil law where you have a notary who is on buyer side.. what pisses me off is that our agent who will profit highly from this screwing us over like this.. 

I personally don't invest in provinces with rent control, so not a single market in their "top 10" interest me in the slightest.

As newcomers, which province will be best to buy home and settle down (We are ready to move anywhere in Canada)Any checklist we have to keep

Henceforth, we are thinking to move to some other province wherein we can buy a house on a cheaper cost.

My personal first filter, for example, is for landlord friendliness; I no longer invest in provinces where rent control is in place. 

I've bought/sold places while living in another province from where the properties are.
