Sanded and painted cabinets white with a spray gun (expect to spend 30+ hours if you do it yourself and your cabinets are anything other than completly flat) and white baseboard.

I contract that out.BUT I do make sure there are New Shovels each year at each Multi with the address spray painted on them and plenty of Sand and Salt!

No matter how much insulating, caulking, spray foaming, etc you do, old houses are energy hogs.Just to let you know, $650 for a house in the country with 3 acres is a steal.
