What is also forgotten is for selling agents some of the sellers are so unreasonable and the seller works hard to get a property sold and the seller will not listen, and seller does that work and gets nothing.Same for buyers agents. When I moved to a new area, I probably looked at 100 propeties with a buyers agent and felt bad for her - she spent a lot more time and effort with me than what she got.So if they went to more of a buyers agent flat fee with buyers and sellers agent flat fee, you will see a lot of people get upset but ifyou are going to waste an agents weekends looking at properties that you cannot afford or window shop - remember time is money. If realtors on sales side said "ok, $10k marketing budget paid upfront" then I am $150/hr for showings, open houses and calls and bill like an attorney - I am curious how the homeowners would like that.
