If you're using the LLC for asset protection, having assets in the LLC with loans against them in your name will almost certainly pierce the veil, allowing anyone who might sue you to argue that you and your business are one in the same.If you want to get loans in the name of your LLC, work with commercial and/or portfolio lenders; not only will they allow you to borrow in your company's name, they'll most likely require it.

If you're want to be good at wholesaling, being able to ballpark renovations is part and parcel and being where a lot of that stuff gets sold is a good first step. homewyse is also a good website for getting that kind of info for the King/Pierce areas.
