VA usually mirrors FHA, but I have heard they may lag a bit.

Another question you want to look in the mirror, so to speak and ask yourself is "What type of investing do you want to do..."

Or is it too grey and in the rear view mirror for an AirBnB? 

I always check to see that at least 1-2 other properties in the neighborhood were flipped and then I "mirror" their finish styles.Good luck Bob!

This is a TERRIBLE DEAL as a rental that only appears to cash flow with the heavy use of smoke and mirrors.

condos canbe good deals but be careful not to "over improve " yours all of your comps will most likely be mirror images of yours in the same building or complex. 

I was able to recover most of the item, but much of the damage (stolen electrical fixtures, mirrors, gate, etc. was removed (some of witch broken) and thus had to be re-installed or replaced).I could have pressed charges in this instance, but was happy to just get the keys and the occupants out of my hair, plus, in the heat of the moment, it slipped my mind to have them arrested.As for other cases, so far to date, I have been able to arrange cash for keys and avoid such problems.In your scenario outlined, it would be tough to prove the case.
