Also if Colorado Springs publishes their police log you might look at it and see if there are citations at the address due to drinking etc.

This was in the end of June and on Oct 8, he called the Police Dept to file a report that his garden tools were stolen and he said that I purposely had someone come in to take his things to harass him.

Lineal ancestors and descendents and your spouse are all disqualified persons and cannot be involved in any transaction with your IRA at all.If its a non-disqualified person then doing a loan is straightforward.
