Send by carrier that can be tracked, UPS, FedEx, etc. 

I did however get the 500k liability insurance with my carrier, so I pay a higher premium.

I've found that if you shop the "Private Market" flood carriers (non-FEMA0 that there will be one or two that are better than the rest.

Liability carriers often have what is called an "action over" exclusion.

Unless your policy has a specific exclusion, you would have coverage under your liability. it’s definitely best to run the scenario by your insurance carrier.2.

Confirm with your insurance carrier they do not exclude certain breeds.  

I don’t really have a plan for it honestly except to work towards being able to self-insure in order to avoid dramatically increased insurance premiums (an 8 plex I own came up for renewal last year and our carrier wanted to increase the annual payment from $2k to $11k, which lead me to think about self-insuring).
