Greenhorns are coming out of the woodwork with dancing dollars in their eyes of riches.

My main area of expertise is in rough framing and finish carpentry and I am a woodworker by hobby, but I can pretty much do it all. 

Having been in the woodworking/cabinetry business, I know they were trendy for awhile, but only for a small market.

Me and my brother are building a duplex for sale right now, and hope to make some money to buy rentals later.My brother job is driving excavator so we are doing the ground construction and the fundation but and have hired a company to do the wood work.

Light duty finish carpentry isn't all that hard to learn IF the house is relatively new and walls and corners are square and plumb, and the woodwork is simple. 

But I realized eventually that we weren't making extra money on it, and that if we wound up in court over the ruined carpet/floors/woodwork, we'd probably lose in my area. 

I have my B.A. in Studio Art and have some 'woodworking' experience - my favorite is refinishing floors and/or any wood detailing. 

I've sanded three entire houses - every wall, cabinet & square inch of woodwork. 60-grit paper & both an orbital & straight sander.

I am familiar with tooling, woodwork, carpentry, etc. but am working through an engineering degree that I earned.
