Newbie to BP and Investment real-estate as a whole

Hi,

 I am new to BP. I heard about the site while listening to the investors podcast. I have a friend who I rent from and began asking him some questions a while ago. He directed me to "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" and we have been meeting up almost weekly.

I am currently selling my time to an employer but am hoping to change a lifestyle so that I may retire someday. I am familiar with tooling, woodwork, carpentry, etc. but am working through an engineering degree that I earned.

I love my job, and the guys I work with and for. I just don't see a healthy retirement in my future there. I am more interested in being more independent.

I am here hoping to connect with like-minded individuals, where thoughts, ideas and experience can be shared.
