Another good option would be to become a property inspector, except that you really need to have gray hair (IMHO) to gain peoples' trust in that role.

They have to sign the contract to get the job and if your terms are unreasonable, they won't sign the contract and you will have to either change the terms or find someone else.Also, I know this sucks, but I wouldn't drag my feet too long in paying him and getting him out of your hair.

Well splinter; let me offer some advice from one of the "grey hairs" on the site.I don't think you should buy any investment ppty until you own (or are paying on) your OWN PLACE.
