If your wife wants to make a house into a home and grow some roots, my advice would be to keep your investing separate from the house you are going to live in. 

I’ve decided it’s my best root considering my amount of capital.

They augered it and found signifant roots each time. 

Slip and fall, trip over a root whatever, the dumbest things people sue over and now you have a negligence suit to fight.
