@Anna Fuchs I would be ok with it, because I know that HUD used the 2+1 rule, meaning 5 for a 2 bedroom (doesn't matter the makeup of the family) Sounds like s lot, but with them not there all the time.

@Simon GhandilLinda D.I think it is also worth mentioning here that a typical 30yr mortgage with $3K down would only be payments of about $153/mo - and that is already assuming an extra point or so to account for credit blemishes.Heck - even a mob loan shark at 20% would still only yield a payment of $451/mo...
