However, to @Adam Martin's comment, during the walk through inspection at/just prior to move in, I do make it a point to explain proper usage; provide and show how to use the disposer wrench and reset (advising them that they can potentially save a $150 plumbing call by doing so); and remind them the terms of the Rental Agreement make them responsible for the cost if they block the line with improper usage.A lot of Tenants, particularly in lower cost units, have no experience in "normal" household issues that arise, and I find it helpful to inform them about specific elements of the home in an effort to minimize unnecessary service calls and Tenant expenses.
