I am going to re-read the agreement and make sure I give them appropriate notice if it comes down to that, but assuming they stop paying, it will be a claim for 3-6 months of rent.In case anyone is wondering who the company in question is, it's Vision Equity (VE).  

In California, I would never trust a $15-$25/hour guy to source material and schedule peripheral tasks outside his area of familiarity/circle of acquaintances.

This stuff is typical, but if you have a vision for it you can turn this around.

Spend sometime on defining your vision, set up goals to achieve your vision, work towards your goal and make things happen. 

Practice a pitch you can present to family members see if you can bring people in to your world and convince the to share your vision.

That takes guts and vision, (and usually some blood,  sweat, and tears).
