I recently got married this summer and now that things have calmed down I'm ready get my feet wet with real estate investing.

Supply has definitely improved in the last month and I'm seeing fewer competing offers on things so it seems to be calming a little bit.Hope that helps,Keith

Then on March 19, 2008, the federal government announced that it was easing those restrictions in an effort to calm the turmoil afflicting the mortgage markets.

And to me I would think it would have been just as easy to schedule a Sat. showing for this new perspective tenant and keep everyone calm and not get into a war of words with your tenants..  

Presumably, most investors will decide to refinance properties that are financed during this period once interest rates calm but if there's a large pre-payment penalty, refinancing to a lower rate may not be a cost effective solution.
