I don't want to spiral too far into conspiracies here, but let's be honest.... no one in government does anything without thinking of themselves first...and who their donors are...no matter what side of the isle they sit on.  

Seriously,  as 2008 demonstrated after the fall of Lehman, the government is going to act as the consumer of last resort to prevent a deflationary spiral even if the economy shows massive unemployment. 

Even tech ppl have to sell their products and/or service and if buyers don’t have $$ and the economy is in a downward spiral, tech peeps will soon be out of work too.

Just because you received a letter from an attorney doesn't mean that attorney is right.That's the thing..... they have two months left on their lease, they defaulted and left, and are attempting to strong arm half of the deposit back by sending attorney letters stating unsubstantiated and egregious hardships during the 2, yes, 2 showings I had in mid March prior to the COVID-19 downward spiral.

You are in danger of entering a downward spiral that looks like this: the owner can't fill vacancies bacause your units are unattractive, cash flow is down, owner hesitates to improve units, pushes PM to fill units anyway, so they lower the standard which leads to much bigger and expensive problems including ecivtions.

That's far better than swinging for the fences with a 2+% deal getting bad pm and expenses spiraling out of control where it should be the 70% rule.

My fear is the downward spiral of taking a seller to court while they are going through this.
