It looks great when the building is brand new, but without a good power wash every year or so, the aesthetics deteriorate quickly - dust will accumulate on horizontal surfaces, then get washed down the face by rain - leaving ugly dark stains down the side.

You might want to consider stain resistant carpet, or no carpet where not required (bedrooms).Vertical window blinds are more kid and pet resistant than horizontal blinds.

While this could be a door, it is most often an egress window {minimum opening area of 5.7ft^2; min opening width of 20"; min opening height of 24"};- {by the IRC} a minimum size of not less than 7' in any horizontal dimension and no less than 70 ft^2 of floor area.

Today, it's hard for builders to get horizontal (development) financing on permits and infrastructure on long plats (10+ lots) and this is keeping supply low relative to demand.

Also, like @Jay Hinrichs said really try to drill down your horizontal costs as these cost are highly site specific and can really make or break the deal if your are trying to turn 10% to 20%....good luck!
