I usually perform online analytics first, get a realtor onboard to cross reference my data, then I usually take a week long trip to the area I invest in confirming my findings.

I have been in their offices  they have about 40 people on the floor doing analytical and everything on every market in the US they started selling bulk hedgefund portfolios to other big investors.. and now are entering your space.. you should be happy since your part owner of a title company hopefully you will get some of their business.

@Gail Greenberg  actually the banks know exactly who is going to default and where.. one of my business partners works with a firm that does analytics for big servicers and banks to figure out  this exact thing so they can set aside reserves for the inevitable.How we can sit here and think that lending practices prior to 08 are the same as todays though not sure how you make that jump... its well known that there were liar loans all over the place sub prime led by Ocwen had MASSIVE loss's.

Well, here is where analytical thinking comes into play.If people on these lists were motivated, why then does it take you 1000, 2000, 3000 mailers calls or texts to get one lousy deal?
