It may be that someone else gets the property because you back out, but they may just not have seen the issues you do.You really don't want to get in the middle of a project like this and have to spend tens of thousands on attorneys' fees because the neighbor is unreasonable.

@Mackal Smith the price the CPA charged doesn't seem unreasonable for your situation, however as you stated, it doesn't seem that you are receiving the high level advice that should be coming with those fees.
