It is true that the PM company could just never pay you the rents and keep the security deposits in their account and disappear.I guess the one thing I see differently is that with an authorized signer(s) you are clearly expressing consent to the bank that (a) particular individual(s) can withdraw all of your funds without your permission.

I own a fourplex out of state and during a brief chat with tenant about how things are they mentioned everything is okay but he briefly mentioned to me when winds were blowing at around 50 Mph his topmost unit was feeling shaky but none of the lower units expressed any concerns.Although the tenant did not put it as a concern, I just want to be sure if it’s normal to have some shakiness when winds blow heavily.Appreciate your inputs.Thanks

I am grateful for that.My property manager has expressed their intention to ask the tenant to pay their rent and that we should be grateful to be able to collect even "small" amounts of rent in this covid environment.I goes against my landlord instincts to "ask" or "try" to get tenants to pay "small" amounts of rent in the "hope" that they will pay in full someday.
