have the right mindset when making cold calls

Mindset needs to be reinforced everyday to your team making cold calls and finding deals for you.

I asked my team member why does he always seem to rush what he is saying when he is put in a new situation or talking to someone new. He forgets what we talk about everyday during our mock calls of taking deep breath, slowing down, sitting up straight, and smiling before opening his mouth to talk on phone . He said he is still getting used to it because at his old job they were focused more on quantity then quality . His old employer only cared about how many calls he made in a day regardless of quality. I asked him what can he do to help himself to always have the right vibe for every call. He suggested he write, “BREATH , SIT UP STRAIGHT, AND SMILE “ on top of his script so he doesn’t forget. I encouraged and supported this idea because I reminded him that in pressure situations our body acts quicker than our mind and we need that conscious reminder to calm down. Lastly, I reminded him that we are providing a service to people who want to exit real estate. These people who need our help selling their property want to listen to what you are saying. So don’t feel like you need to say your “pitch” as quickly as possible before the person on other line hangs up on you. I reminded my team we are a legitimate business doing good in the world, not swindlers trying to trick people, so calm down when talking. We are bringing value to people’s lives and people want to listen.
