We were able to get a place for a double deposit and first and last months rent.I can just picture the landlords/owners reactions when hearing my story after reading what everyone here has been saying.

In general, forums and/or its corresponding questions can elicit a mix of reactions and emotions, both of which are neither good nor bad, it's just, I guess, LIFE! 

So, technically, yes, they should have had you sign the work authorization not the tenant, but your reaction should be appreciation.Secondly, as pointed out above, this should be paid for by your homeowners insurance.

People can threaten legal action all they want, and they will, because it generally makes people have the exact reaction you are having.

@AJ Hu I wouldn’t use the guy more for his unprofessional reaction more than what he charged.

I think the panic on here is a big over reaction or affects low income areas more. 

I know the immediate reaction is to find another lender but I have a rate locked that's unmatched from any lender I've talked to. 

It's easy - even I learned how to do it haha.My first reaction would be to kick her to the curb.
