Our area is definitely a tourist area, so with that, there are busier times of the year than others. 

@Ahmed Souissi the Osceola County Website indicates only short-term rentals must pay the 6% tax.Is it possible the Business Tax Receipt and the 6% Tourist tax are two different things? 

The only con is that there isn't as much to do around here, since people move here to retire we lack the tourist traffic that PV, Cancun and San Miguel get.

This area is not a beautiful, tourist area; although there are touristy sites a few hours from here.

@Dan Klao An important thing to keep in mind is that people use STR's for a lot of reasons, not just vacations so you don't neccessarily have to be around tourist attractions which is a common misconception.
