I enjoy fixing and repairing items, it saves money resources and it also allows me to look in on my units.

I found Bigger Pockets through Scott Trench’s book Set for Life, and have been enjoying the podcasts.

Pace your self, remember to enjoy the bull ride, and laugh a lot along the way as there is bound to be tears as well, but not all would tears of joy. 

I owned my own manufacturing business for 16 years until finally calling it quits about 6 years ago due to dwindling sales brought on by the recession, which turned out to be a blessing in that it led me to a career I thoroughly enjoy and was meant to do.I started thinking about real estate while selling a piece of commercial land I owned. 

I would tell them the moment that you take over the building that a new sheriff is in town and if they enjoy living there they better pay up.

We raise rent to 50% of the gap between current rent and market rent, to make progress but still reward long term tenants.Long term problem free tenants are good, but tenants who so flagrantly break your rules and disrupt the quiet enjoyment of neighbors are not worth fighting for.

It may seem like a long road but enjoy the experience, have a few laughs and don't forget to ask if anyone's buying because eventually, those people will need to sell and guess who they're going to call?
